SR Denning graduates basic training

SR Timothy Denning graduated basic training at Great Lakes Naval recruit training command in Great Lakes, Ill., from DIV 285 on Sept. 1.

Seaman Denning is the husband of Lindi (Wayne) Denning and father of Ahna and Reid, all of Gallatin.

Seaman Denning is currently stationed at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas, completing his training apprentice school to become a hospital corpsman.

Open house at Pattonsburg during “Battle of the Classes”

Pattonsburg R-2 is nearing the final stages of construction on its domes and an open house will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 30, the evening of the "Battle of the Classes."

Reunions – McFall School

The McFall all-school alumni and teachers held their annual reunion on Sept. 10, at the Pattosnburg Multi-Purpose Center.

There were 53 in attendance. Muriel Watson received a flower for being the eldest. After lunch a meeting was held and door prizes were drawn.

Clyde and Helen Bozarth went to Joplin Friday night to visit Gene and Charlotte Bridgeman and Vicky. They also visited Jim and Pat Morris.

Dolores Cameron went with her daughter Judy Fore to church Sunday morning.

Mildred Neff from Oxford, Ark., and Kathy Cooper from Gassville, Ark., came to Don and Betty Cameron’s to spend the weekend and they all attended the Daniel reunion dinner at Cameron.

Health Expo lets you know your age health-wise

Doug Schoch LMT and wife, Tamara Schoch presented a class on Natural Remedies at a Health Expo held Sept. 25, at the Adventist Community Service Center in Gallatin.

University wheat tests available

The Missouri Wheat Crop Performance Trials are available at your local Extension office. The trials have multiple locations across the state with two in the northern part of the state.

The closest location is Trenton and the range of wheat yields were from 84 bushels as the highest to a low of 58 bushels. There were 37 varieties tested at this site.
