Funeral services for Mildred Gardner were held Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010, at the Whitaker-Eads Funeral Home in Trenton. Burial was in the Maple Grove Cemetery of Trenton. Carl Bradley 1925-2010

Funeral services for Carl Bradley will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 31, at McWilliams Funeral Home in Gallatin. Family visitation will be one hour prior to the service where friends may call after 11 a.m. Thursday. Burial will be at the Brown Cemetery near Gallatin. James Edward “Brownie” Brown 1926-2010

James Edward Brown, 84, of Kansas City, Mo., with family by his side, went to be with the Lord on Dec. 21, 2010.

The new look of the Gallatin Youth Wrestling Club

The Gallatin Youth USA Wrestling season has begun and the club has competed in three area tournaments. On Dec. 5 the club traveled to Savannah to compete in their first tournament of the year and brought home eight medals – first place: Draven Wright, Gabe Allen; second place: Cole Henderson, Brinley Vandiver, Andon Allen, Keegan Allen; third place: Jagger Gray; and fourth place: Tre King.

Nice surprise in the mailbox!

Myrlene Heldenbrand of Gallatin was pleasantly surprised recently when Gallatin Postmaster Carl Wiles gave her a call.

"Myrlene, I’ve got your purse," he said. He told her that someone had shoved her purse into the outdoor mailbox at the Gallatin post office.
