USDA Designates 55 Counties in Missouri as primary natural disaster areas

On Aug. 24, the U.S. Department of Agriculture designated 55 counties in Missouri as natural disaster areas because of losses caused by excessive rainfall, flash flooding, flooding and high winds that occurred Feb. 1 – July 15, 2010.

Daviess County is among the 55 counties named. The other counties named are Adair, Crawford, Jackson, Mercer, Ralls, Andrew, Jefferson, Mississippi, Ray, Audrain, De Kalb, Laclede, Moniteau, Saline, Benton,
