Wet weather and hot temperatures stress area crops

The wet weather has caused many of our crops to be shallow rooted and with hot temperatures, crops are stressed. The rain has been abundant and water is seeping out of the hillsides and in river bottoms, crops are yellow because of saturated soils.

Funeral services for Georgia Sutton will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 1, at McWilliams Funeral Home, Gallatin, where friends may call after 11 a.m. Saturday. Grand River Valley choir and Orchestra at First Baptist

The Grand River Valley Choir and Orchestra summer concert will be at 6 p.m. on Aug. 7 at the First Baptist Church, 2421 Oklahoma Street in Trenton.

Four injured in separate accidents

Three people received minor injuries in a two-vehicle accident that happened at about 4:20 p.m. on July 25 in Harrison County.

Brooklynn Corrine Waterbury b. July 21, 2010
