Fall control of woody tree species

Many times growers would like to control a particular tree that exists in a timber stand, fence row, CRP land and numerous other places. One particular method is the use of herbicides applied directly to spaced cuts in the tree. 2009 Softball: Lady Bulldogs suffer pair of tough, one-run losses

2009 Golf: First team score is a win for Lady Bulldog golfers

Gallatin golfers took the opportunity to post a win last Thursday at Daviess County Country Club, combining scores from four golfers for the first time this season.

The Lady Bulldogs, Sarah Smith, Lauren Taylor, Breanne Brammer and Mattie Burge, combined for 204 to beat Stanberry (212) and Albany (269). Smith shot a 47 to earn the medalist award in the three-team meet.

Beverly Bledsoe 1934-2009

A memorial service for Beverly Bledsoe was held Friday at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel. Mrs. Bledsoe was cremated. Inurnment followed the service at Ashland Cemetery, St. Joseph. Memorials are suggested to Kendallwood Hospice.
