Daviess County’s population is declining, according to the latest population estimates for the nation’s cities and counties from the U.S. Census Bureau.
Daviess County’s population was estimated at 7,911 on July 1, 2008, a decline of 105 persons from the 2000 census of 8,016.
Gallatin’s population also showed a decline, from 1,789 persons to 1,730, a drop of 59.
