Shipley receives MBA from Rockhurst

Daviess County Nursing and Rehab

Hello. The last two weeks have been very busy at Daviess County Nursing and Rehab. We have been doing many different things. The residents have decorated bird houses to hang outside of their windows. They made cookies on June 8 and cinnamon rolls on June 19 in cooking class. Very, very good!

R-3 board offers position, accepts resignation

After holding an executive session, the North Daviess R-3 Board of Education offered a full time elementary position to Hilary Marshall for the 2009-2010 school year. The board accepted the resignation of preschool/Title One teacher Kim Terhune with a 5% contract penalty due to the fact the resignation was after June 1.

Power wheelchairs available for seniors and disabled

The Senior Wheels USA Program makes available power wheelchairs to senior citizens and the permanently disabled at no cost to the recipient, if they qualify.

The power wheelchairs are provided to those who can no longer walk safely, nor self-propel a manual wheelchair, and who meet the additional guidelines or the program.
