Jessica Cooper, Nathan Henderson to wed Sept. 4

Jessica Ann Cooper, daughter of David and Deb Cooper of Maryville, and Nathan Lee Henderson, son of Mike and Vicki Henderson of Gallatin, will be wed on Sept. 4 at the Hawthorne House in Parkville.

Jessica graduated from Northwest Missouri State University in 2005 with a B.S. degree in marketing and advertising. She currently works as an account executive for The Meyocks Group in West Des Moines, Iowa. Nathan graduated

Judy Horton went to Lawrence, Kan., Saturday to help her grandson Evan Elzea celebrate his birthday.

David and Dana Shipers visited Letha Shipers Mother’s Day evening.

NCMC Students Compete in Anaheim, Calif.

Three members of the North Central Missouri College Delta Epsilon Chi (DEX) Business Organization recently competed in the International Career Development Conference in Anaheim, Calif.

They were Mitchell Bailey, Kenneth Clem, and Miles Moore, all of Trenton; they are each working toward a degree in Business Management.

Daviess County Route RA closing May 26

The Missouri Department of Transportation has announced that Daviess County Route RA closed for a bridge deck replacement project on Tuesday, May 26.

Route RA will be closed to traffic over E. Brushy Creek, west of Route 190 near Jamesport, for six to eight weeks for construction. The existing deck will be removed and a new deck constructed.

The contractor on the project is Chester Bross Construction Co./ C.B. Equipment

Three receive $2,000 MFA scholarship

Jaclyn Ray, a graduating senior at North Daviess R-3 High School, Lee Charles Deutschman, a graduating senior at Gallatin R-5 High School, and Hannah Yost, a graduating senior at Winston R-6 High School have all won a $2,000 MFA Foundation scholarship.

The scholarship was awarded at the school’s graduation ceremonies.
Jaclyn is the daughter of Ralph and Debbie Ray. She plans to attend Missouri State University at Springfield.

Fourth, fifth and sixth grade presents Bulldogs on Broadway

Fourth, fifth and sixth graders at Searcy Elementary School in Gallatin presented Bulldogs on Broadway on May 12. The play was directed by Sheryl Warren. The students sang One Nation; Happiness; Somewhere Over the Rainbow; Put on a Happy Face; Castle on a Cloud; Good; High School Musical; Disney on Broadway; and Seasons of Love.
