Kaymon Witt wins 2nd in state-wide essay contest

Gallatin High School sophomore Kaymon Witt, daughter of Mike and Tammy Witt, was recently notified that she won second place in the University of Missouri Robert J. Stuckey Essay Contest.

The contest was open to students in grades 9-12 who submitted a 1,200-1,500 word essay on "one or more aspects of books or reading."

After composing an original essay, Kaymon’s work was submitted to be judged on originality of thought,
