Time to frost seed pasture legumes

Now is the time to over-seed legumes into your pastures. Research indicates that frost seeding is best if done by mid-February. Legumes may be spread on the soil surface and the freezing thawing action of winter incorporates the legumes into the soil so they can germinate in the spring.
