Kerns and King to receive Eagle Scout award

Lake Viking blood drive to benefit local patients

Community Blood Center will hold a blood drive at Lake Viking between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 5, at the "blood vessel" in the clubhouse area.

Please bring photo identification such as your driver’s license. Cholesterol test will be performed on all units of blood collected. Please eat well and drink plenty of fluids prior to your donation. All blood donations through the Community Blood Center benefit

Zayden Andrew Wollam

Wayne and April Wollam of Winston proudly announce the birth of a son, Zayden Andrew Wollam, born 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 22, at Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe.

Zayden weighed 8 pounds, 10 ounces, and was 20 inches long. He has a brother, Stephan, and a sister, Raegan.

Maternal grandparents are Daniel and Brenda Goll of Winston. Great-grandparents are Lyle Orr of Brookfield and Fern Graham of Lowrey City.

Malakhi E. Moore

Codi Desselle and Seneca Moore proudly announce the birth of a son, Malakhi E. Moore, born at 2:23 p.m. on June 19, at Cameron Regional Medical Center.

Malakhi weighed 5 pounds, 13 ounces, and was 18 1/4 inches long. His brothers are Trevor Desselle Jr. and Parker Chamberlin; his sisters are Morgan Durham and Gabby and Sara Moore.

Patrol investigates Bethany plane crash

On June 23, at 7:59 p.m. the Harrison County Sheriff’’s Department contacted Troop H Headquarters and requested assistance with a plane crash near the Bethany Memorial Airport.

 Upon arrival, troopers found a single engine plane upside down that had struck a residence. The pilot received minor injuries during the crash and the resident inside the home was complaining of chest pains.

Rockin “B” tourney attracts croquet players

The 3rd Annual Rockin B Croquet Tournament was held May 31 with a full slate of players attending.

Hosted by Billy Bob and Debbie Breeden, tournament play began at 8 am with 2 flights of competition played on 4 courts.
