‘Weenie Wagon’ to wheel its way to Gallatin June 6

A Chicago style hot dog vendor wagon is coming to Gallatin the first weekend in June. Opening location will be at 510 W. Grand St., between the sale barn and the old high school.

The Von Opitz family will wheel out the wagon during a multi-family garage sale be- tween 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, June 6-7.

Sgt. William Jackson of McFall trains for peacekeeping mission in Kosovo

Since early April, more than 1,000 Missouri Army National Guardsmen, including Sgt. William Jackson, of McFall,  have been training at Camp Atterbury, near Edinburgh, Ind.,  to support the NATO-led Kosovo peacekeeping mission.

Most Soldiers began their training in Missouri at Camp Crowder and Camp Clark. Training for this mission is quite a bit longer than a typical mission to Afghanistan or Iraq because soldiers are doing peace enforcement operations along

Jamesport man, Gallatin woman injured in separate accidents

Ryan Page 19, Jamesport, received minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident at about 11:25 a.m. on May 27 on Rt V, about five miles southwest of Jamesport.
