Don Allen Christopher, 61, Wentzville died on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2008.
Mr. Christopher was a teacher with the Ft. Zumwalt School District for 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John William and Mildred Lucille Christopher.

Best graduates from KC police academy

On Nov. 29, 2007, South Harrison High School graduate Jonathan Best, graduated from the Kansas City Regional Police Academy in Kansas City.

The Kansas City Regional Police Academy is considered one of the best in the country in the areas of defensive tactics and academics.
Jon is a graduate of Missouri Western State University and has a degree in natural science chemistry/forensic science and a minor in criminal justice.

City-jail discuss security officer; board accepts franchise agreement with gas utility

Daviess County Commissioner David Holcomb discussed a possible solution to the security issues between the Daviess-DeKalb Regional Jail with the Pattonsburg Board of Aldermen during their regular meeting held Wednesday, Feb. 13.

Bill and Cheryl Adams, Winterset, Iowa, and Dorlene Munn, Bethany, came and had Sunday dinner at a local café with Woodrow and Maxine Morris. Sunday afternoon Woodrow and Maxine went to Cameron to visit Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Davenport and son Ryan. Rhonda Taylor and boys from Kearney were also there. They reported Ronnie improving but still confined to his back brace.

Mikes celebrate 45th wedding anniversary

Lonnie and Nancy Mikes of Pattonsburg will celebrate their 45th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, March 2, in the fellowship hall of McCarthy Baptist Church in St. Joseph.
