Pattonsburg R-2 renews superintendent’s contract, continues looking into security cameras

The Pattonsburg R-2 Board of education voted to extend Superintendent Cheryl Cornett’s contract for one year during their regular meeting held Wednesday, Jan. 16.

The board will look at proposals for security cameras in February. Anyone interested in submitting a proposal should contact the superintendent.
After returning from an executive session, the board accepted the resignation of Karri Schelll, FACS teacher, effective at the end of the school year.

The FFA Greenhand Motivational Conference was held at NCMC in Trenton on Jan. 9.

 Kate Hangley, who is the Area 2 FFA President, presided over the conference. The Greenhands of Pattonsburg that attended the conference included Brayden Gardner, Heather Coffey, Calvin Teel, Zach Hulett, Josh Curtis, Gage Talbert, Scott Conover, Justin Conover, and Michael Lewis.
