Robinson promoted to captain of Troop H

Lt. Duane L. Robinson will be promoted by the Missouri State Highway Patrol to the rank of captain and designated troop commander of Troop H, St. Joseph.

College students on dean’s list, earn degrees

Eastern Kentucky
Katie Patton has been named to the Dean’s List at Eastern Kentucky University. Katie is a sophomore in the College of Health and Sciences.

Girl Scouts receive Gold Award

Three area girls completed the requirements for Girl Scouting’s highest award. The Girl Scout Gold was awarded to Katie Story, Laura Youtsey, and Amy Anthuis.

Frost retires from Platte County R-3

Dr. Gregory Duane Frost is retiring after working for 25 years in the education system in the state of Missouri effective June 30.

9-1-1, county will combine insurance coverage

Daviess County Commissioners discussed the possibility of combining their county insurnce coverage with that of Daviess County Central’s during the regular meeting of the 9-1-1 Board held May 31.

After discussion and presentation, the board carried a motion to include the seven employees of Daviess County Central in the preliminary phase of the insurance quote with the county. The treasurer’s report was presented and accepted.
