Dance Company accepts the challenge, competes at KU, win awards, ribbons, plaques

Students of The Dance Company of Gallatin recently competed at International Dance Challenge on the campus of KU in Lawrence, Kan.

Dancers competed in tap, jazz, hip-hop, musical theater, open and clogging categories. Adjudicated awards ranged from silver, sterling silver and gold. Jamesport woman’s vehicle struck by load of steel plates, McFall man injured in separate accidents

A Jamesport woman received moderate injuries when her vehicle was struck by a load of steel plate dislodged from a semi.

Angelica Marie Watson

Tracy Lynn Mgrdichian and Travis James Watson proudly announce the birth of a daughter, Angelica Marie Watson. Angelica was born at 7:44 p.m. on March 23, 2007, at Cameron Regional Medical Center. She weighed 7.3 pounds and was 18 ½ inches long. She has a sister, Octavia Walton.

Katie Patton selected as student ambassador

Katie Patton was recently selected to become a member of Student Alumni Ambassadors at Eastern Kentucky University, where she is currently a freshman.

Student Alumni Ambassadors is a selective group of approximately 80 EKU students from a wide range of backgrounds and majors. The main goal of the organization is to provide service to the university by working closely with the university president, university officials, alumni, and others.
