Moving Grand River bridge

In 1925, during the early stages of the Great Depression, a few projects were being initiated. One local project was the moving and relocating the Grand River bridge to the Hockensmith Ford laying north of Gallatin. When completed, the travel distance from Gallatin to Jameson would be reduced by four miles. It would also give hundreds of people access to the bridge who had to go miles
