Not all of the Depression era was a lemon, some of it was just peachy — thanks to a pear orchard

Another one of Gallatin’s landmarks faded away with the passing of Aunt Sallie’s (Mrs. Frank A. Woodruff) 78 acre pear orchard, located by Hwy. 6, just a few miles from Gallatin. Twenty-eight acres lay on the north side of the highway and 50 acres lay on the south side.
