Four declare candidacy for 9-1-1 board

Those filing as April 4 election candidates for Daviess County Central 9-1-1 board positions were Gene Walker for district 1, and John Sullenger, Wendel Gunzenhauser and Mark Richards for district 2.

Tree Climbers Chatter Club

Several attended the meeting of the Tree Climbers Chatter Club on Thursday evening.

We now have 30 members. We are indexing different scrapbooks so it will be easier to know what obituaries are included in the books. We are also reading and recording different land and house abstracts for easier researching. At the meeting, it was brought up that we still need a workable copier. This is being looked into.

There will be a retirement reception for Jetta Rogers on Wednesday, Feb. 1 from 2 to 4:00 p.m. Jetta has recently retired after 31 years of service in our dietary department. Jetta contributed fantastic cooking to our facility for 31 years
