Missouri food prices both higher and lower compared to national average

While retail prices for food at the supermarket dropped nationwide during the third quarter of 2005, retail prices for food in Missouri increased, according to the American Farm Bureau’s Marketbasket Survey, a quarterly report of 16 basic grocery items.
