The announcement of the guilty pleas that were offered in Federal District Court by Michael R. Johns and Denise K. Stottlemyre, culminates 2 ½ years of investigation of the former employees of Green Hills Regional Planning Commission.

Throughout this period the Board of Directors and staff have remained resolute in the belief that the eventual outcome would confirm the removal of Johns and Stottlemyre taken by the board

Man fatally injured in accident

Jimmy J. Kromeich, 31, died Tuesday, May 17, after a tree he cut fell on him, according to the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department.

Jimmy J. Kromeich, 31, died Tuesday, May 17, after a tree he cut fell on him, according to the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department.

Mr. Kromeich was cutting trees at about 1:30 p.m., north of Coffey, when the accident occurred.

The Daviess County coroner pronounced Mr. Kromeich dead
