Daviess County License Bureau moves location

The Missouri Department of Revenue announced recently that the Gallatin Motor Vehicle and Driver Licensing Contract Office is scheduled to open at it’s new location on Tuesday, May 3. The office will be located at 400 North Main Street, Suite 1. Judy Vyrostek is the contract agent for the office. Office hours will be Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.

Emily Gay receives MBCA award

Emily Gay has been recognized as a recipient of the Academic All-State Award.

Gallatin R-5 senior Emily Gay has been recognized by the Missouri Basketball Coaches Association as a recipient of the Academic All-State Award. She was recognized in a ceremony held Sunday on the University of Missouri-Columbia campus. There were 31 girls named to the Academic All-State roster this year.

Award winners must have played in at least 75%

Brook Carder participates in the National PAS Conference

Brook Carder participated in the National Postsecondary Agricultural Students Organization Conference last month.

Brook Carder, Gallatin, was among the 12 NCMC Agriculture & Natural Resources students who participated in the National Postsecondary Agricultural Students Organization Conference last month. The conference was held March 14-19 in Albany, New York. GHS play at Courter Theatre, “Finders Creepers”

For the past several weeks, the Gallatin High School Players have been eagerly preparing for their spring production of “Finders Creepers.” Directing this year’s cast is Doug Nichols, assisted by Jennifer Chipman. Two performances will be held on April 29 and 30 at 7 p.m. at the Courter Theater. “Finders Creepers” is a mystery-comedy in three acts.

Sheriff’s Department

Lyle Nieman, 41, Gallatin, was arrested April 22 on a felony probation warrant on an original charge of attempted theft of anhydrous ammonia and on two misdemeanor charges, DWI and possession of paraphernalia. He is being held at Midwest Security Housing on $10,000 bond.

Ralph Berry, 41, Gallatin, was arrested April 24 for probation violations on an original charge of felony stealing. He is being held at Midwest Security Housing
