Etta Holcomb, 98, formerly of Gallatin, died Friday, March 25, 2005 at Saint Mary’s Manor, Blue Springs.

Funeral services for Henrietta “Etta” Holcomb were held Tuesday at McWilliams Funeral Home in Gallatin. Burial was at Hillcrest Cemetery, Gallatin. Memorial contributions may be made to the Gallatin Senior Citizens Center.

Harry Brooks Hamilton III, 53, Tacoma, Wash., formerly of Gallatin, died Friday, March 25, 2005 at a health care facility in Tacoma, Wash.

Funeral services for Brooks Hamilton were held at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday) at McWilliams Funeral Home, Gallatin. Burial was at Greenwood Cemetery, Gallatin. Josephine Lea (Aldridge) Oak, 76, Kansas City North, died Friday, March 25, 2005, in North Kansas City.

Funeral services for Josephine “Jody” Oak were held Tuesday at the McGilley Antioch Chapel in Kansas City, with burial at the Winston Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Children’s Mercy Hospital or the American Cancer Society.

Kenneth L.”Kenny” Severe, Lee’s Summit, formerly St. Joseph, died Monday at Willshire at the Lake in Lee’s Summit.

Chris Barnes received honorable mention for his photography at the Annual Regional High School Art Exhibit

Art students at Gallatin R-5 High School have participated in two art shows recently, according to art instructor Mary Adams. Chris Barnes received honorable mention for his photography at the Annual Regional High School Art Exhibit at the Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art in St. Joe. That show was held March 13 to April 10.
