Civil Court

Bank Northwest, plaintiff, vs. Kenneth Sutton, Pamela Sutton and Global Technology and Development Inc., defendants: A judgment was ordered against the defendants for $21,618.82 plus interest and costs.

City Bank and Trust Company of Moberly, plaintiff, vs. Kathy and Jasen Chadwick, defendants: Judgment was entered for the plaintiff in the amount of $14,422.71 plus costs and interest.

Traffic Fines Paid by Mail

The following are traffic cases which were heard in the Associate Division of the Circuit Court of Daviess County involving a plea of guilty without contest and payment of the standard fine plus court costs. Associate Circuit Court

Defendants found guilty in the Associate Division of the Circuit Court of Daviess County are listed below with the offense and fine assessed. Additionally, court costs collected for the State of Missouri amount to $66.50 for moving traffic violations, and $114.50 in most criminal case.

Clinton L. Crawford, Hartford, IA, possession of controlled substance, 48 hours jail (board bill paid by defendant), abuse and lose order; possession of paraphernalia, $150.

James Lewis, bridge supervisor, met with the commission reporting routine matters.

Bill Eckert, Jamesport Special Road District, met with the commission regarding the addition of base rock to a road in that district, qualifying it for the CART program.

911 budget meeting scheduled, new dispatcher now employed

The regular meeting of Daviess County Central 9-1-1 was held on Dec. 16

A preliminary budget was presented for review during the regular meeting of Daviess County Central 9-1-1 held on Dec. 16. The board scheduled a budget meeting for 7 p.m. on Jan. 13.

Supervisor Dana Carder presented Susann Fife’s resignation as a full-time employee as of Dec. 30, 2004. Ms. Fife has been accepted into the St. Joseph

Aldermen adopt the 2005 budget

City of Gallatin regular meeting was held Monday, Dec. 27

The Gallatin Board of Aldermen adopted an annual budget for the city for the fiscal year beginning on Jan. 1, 2005, during their regular meeting held Monday, Dec. 27, at city hall. The ordinance, which carried after first and second readings, appropriated funds and set salaries of city employees.

Fire totally consumes house near cemetery

Fire district responds to house fire

The Gallatin Fire Protection District was notified of a structure fire located at Hwy. MM and Oval Ave. across from the Hillcrest Cemetery on Sunday, Dec. 26, at approximately 11:06 p.m. The house was unoccupied.

According to a report by Fire Chief Doug Hamilton, Daviess County Sheriff Deputy Todd Watson was first to arrive on the scene. He radioed dispatch that the structure was
