Cox petitions county clerk for recount in close commissioner race

Civil cases filed: David Cox vs. Linda Steward, petition for recount; Karen G. Taylor vs. Daniel R. Taylor, dissolution.

Criminal cases filed: State vs. Frank Edwin Flanders, robbery 1st degree, Class A felony and felony armed criminal action; State vs. Brett F. Olsen, unlawful use of a weapon, Class D felony.

County Commission

Don Ohlberg, bridge foreman, met with the commission reporting on routine matters.

Bills were audited and paid.

Bob Burnett from Snyder and Associates met with the commission regarding the final paperwork for construction on bridge BRO-B031(25).

Mike Arnold talked with the commission about the poles for the Veterans Memorial and stated that there have been more flags donated.

Sheriff’s Department

A 31-year-old Lawson man is being held at Mid-Missouri Security Housing on $600 bond for failure to appear on an order to show cause to pay costs on no valid license, misdemeanor.

A 37-year-old Altamont man was arrested Nov. 19 after the sheriff’s department responded to a domestic disturbance call and charged with misdemeanor counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance. He posted $750 bond.

Traffic Fines Paid by Mail

The following are traffic cases which were heard in the Associate Division of the Circuit Court of Daviess County involving a plea of guilty without contest and payment of the standard fine plus court costs.
