Last swimming classes Aug. 2-6

Gallatin Municipal Pool

The last swimming classes at the Gallatin Municipal Pool are Aug. 2-6. If there is enough interest in the adult class, it will be extended to two weeks. Cost is $10 per student.

Farm Bureau plans meeting for Aug. 5

Daviess County Farm Bureau will conduct its annual meeting starting at 6:30pm on Thursday, Aug. 5, at Pattonsburg Senior Center. A review of 2004 policy development questions as presented in the Show-Me magazine will be the focus of the business meeting.

New pastor at Winston Baptist Church

Rev. Gerald and Judith Green

Twenty-five people helped move the Rev. Gerald and Judith Green from Melbourne to Winston on Saturday. Rev. Green is the new pastor of the Winston First Baptist Church.

Rev. Green was the pastor of the Winston Baptist Church from 1985-1994. The Greens have two grown children and two grandchildren.

The Winston community welcomes the Greens back home.
