Bike-A-Thon set for May 8

On Saturday, May 8, the students at Covel D. Searcy Elementary will participate in a bike-a-thon for the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Cameron King was chosen as a second place award winner the St. Joseph New-Press “Express Your Opinion” writing contest

Tyson Frost to attend scholars academy

Tyson Frost has been selected to attend the 2004 Missouri Scholars Academy.

Tyson Frost, a student at Park Hill South High School in the Park Hill School District in Kansas City, has been selected as one of 330 students to attend the 2004 Missouri Scholars Academy. He will attend the three week residential program from June 13 to July 3 on the University of Missouri-Columbia campus.
