A regular meeting of the Green Hills Community Action Agency (GHCAA) Board of Directors will be held at the GHCAA Area Office

A regular meeting of the Green Hills Community Action Agency (GHCAA) Board of Directors will be held at the GHCAA Area Office, 1506 Oklahoma Avenue, Trenton, at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 6.

The Finance Committee will meet at 7 p.m. prior to the regular board meeting.

Corporal Mark A. Ott has been promoted to the rank of sergeant and designated Zone Commander of Zone 10

Corporal Mark A. Ott has been promoted to the rank of sergeant and designated Zone Commander of Zone 10 that covers Daviess and Dekalb Counties. Sergeant Ott transferred from Zone 2 in Maryville to accept the promotion. He began his career with the Patrol in Zone 5, St. Joseph in 1993.

High School Art Competition to held by Midwest Artists Association

Frank Wheeler named Coach of the Year

Frank Wheeler was named the 2004 Richard Fairchild Missouri Basketball Coach of the Year for Class 5A schools.

Twenty-four years ago Frank Wheeler of Jameson played in the Hearnes Center in Columbia on a final four Missouri state basketball team on the very same floor. In March 2004 Frank returned to Columbia to coach a final four basketball team. Last week Frank was named the 2004 Richard Fairchild Missouri Basketball

Army Pvt. Brandon S. Jones has graduated from the light-wheel vehicle mechanic advanced individual training (AIT) course at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.

The student was trained to perform maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair wheeled vehicles and related mechanical components, including suspension systems, internal combustion engines and power trains, wheel-hub

Colman Franks

Colman Franks, 80, Cameron, died Wednesday, March 24, 2004, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City.

Funeral services for Colman Franks, formerly of Jameson, were held Saturday at McWilliams Funeral Home in Gallatin. Burial was at Grand River Cemetery, Jameson. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, Jameson, or Mid-American Heart Institute.
