When the competition narrowed from 35 students to just two, eighth grader Brianna Weber of North Daviess R-3 correctly spelled conscience to win the Daviess County Spelling Bee held at Winston R-6 elementary school on Monday, Feb. 23. Brianna is the daughter of Michael and Janellda Weber.

Anna Adams

Anna Kathryn Adams, 83, Lawson, died Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2004, at the Lawson Manor and Rehab.

Funeral services for Anna Adams were held Monday at the Polley Funeral Home Lawson Chapel in Lawson. Burial was in the Masonic Cemetery, Excelsior Springs. Memorial contributions may be given to the charity of your choice or the Masonic home.
