FEC votes to hold current rates for most of 2004; but expect increase in ’05

The Board of Directors of Farmers’ Electric Cooperative has unanimously voted to hold the cooperative’s electric rates at their current level for at least a portion of 2004.

“Our goal is to not have a rate adjustment until 2005, but at this time, we simply do not know if we can go another 12 months without taking action on our electric rates,” explained Dan Bryan, executive vie-president/CEO of FEC.
