James S. Ramsey, 93, Cameron, formerly of Gallatin died Nov. 23, 2003.

Graveside service and burial for James S. Ramsey were held Tuesday at Mount Ayr Cemetery, Altamont. Arrangements were by McWilliams Funeral Home, Gallatin.

James S. Ramsey, 93, Cameron, formerly of Gallatin died Nov. 23, 2003.

Mr. Ramsey was born Nov. 29, 1909, to James E. and Maude Ramsey.

He owned the DX Station in Altamont for many years.

Earnie R. King, 66, Coffey, died Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2003, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas

City.

Funeral services for Earnie R. King were held Sunday at the Coffey Baptist Church, Coffey.

Burial was at Coffey Cemetery. Arrangements were by McWilliams Funeral Home in Gallatin.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Coffey Baptist Church.

The Gallatin Junior High FFA elected their new officers on Nov. 5 at the Ag building.

The Gallatin Junior High FFA elected their new officers on Nov. 5 at the Ag building. The candidates were interviewed by former Junior High FFA officers. The newly elected officers are: President Robyn Creel, Vice President Kyle Croy, Secretary Cheyanne Uthe, Treasurer Wren Tolen, Reporter Shannon Sites, Sentinel Alex Critten, and Delegate Maggie Strange.

Being here a ‘royal’ experience for Etsuko Abe

This July, when 17-year-old Etsuko Abe arrived at the home of Gallatin residents Robert and Cathy Owens, she was shy, a little withdrawn, and not exactly confident of her new role as an American high school student. Now on her bedroom dresser a photo album is opened, proudly displaying the picture of herself in a crown as Homecoming Royalty.
