Leroy Gardner, 38, Jamesport, died Monday, June 23, 2003 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in rural Daviess County.

Jamesport man fatally injured in accident

Leroy Gardner, 38, Jamesport

The community of Jamesport and the surrounding area was saddened to hear of the death of Leroy Gardner, 38.

Mr. Gardner was fatally injured in a one-vehicle accident at 11:30 p.m. on Monday, June 23, according to a report by the Missouri Highway Patrol.

Mr. Gardner leaves behind a wife, Delana, and four young children.

After the volley of veto, Mayor Schweizer resigns

City of Gallatin Board of Aldermen met in two sessions.

The Gallatin Board of Aldermen accepted the resignation of Mayor Gene Schweizer for the City of Gallatin with all members voting in favor during their regular meeting held June 23 at city hall.

President of the Board Becky Wycoff will serve as mayor until an appointment is made for the office. A special meeting will be held at 6 p.m.
