They have spoken to the class numerous times about skills needed to be successful at a job. This tour was a culmination of Landmark’s work with Mr. Sweatman’s class. Pictured is Steve

Local students to participate in agriculture academy

Erin Croy and Emily Gay, both of Gallatin were chosen to participate in the 16th class of the Missouri Agribusiness Academy.

Erin Croy and Emily Gay, both of Gallatin were among the high school sophomores from across Missouri recently were chosen to participate in the 16th class of the Missouri Agribusiness Academy.

Sponsored by the Missouri Department of Agriculture, the academy each year acquaints 30 students with career opportunities available

On Monday, May 12, the Gallatin FFA Banquet was held in the Searcy Elementary gym with 275 members and guests present.

Ward wins her third state medal in pole vault

Gallatin High School senior-to-be Katie Ward cleared the pole vault bar at 8’6″

Gallatin High School senior-to-be Katie Ward cleared the pole vault bar at 8’6″ on Saturday in Jefferson City and captured a share of 6th place in the Class 2 field of 16 competitors.

In doing so, Ward gained her third state medal in the pole vault event. She finished 6th a year ago in Class 1 (7’6″)
