Jamie Lunsford to FBLA nationals

Jamie Lunsford, daughter of Allen and Dianna Lunsford of Gallatin, earned a first place finish in the FBLA public speaking contest at the 44th Annual Missouri Future Business Leaders of America State Leadership Conference, held April 13-15 in Columbia. Jamie will be competing at the national level in Dallas, Texas, June 24-27.

Plans slated for Jesse James Days

The Winston Historical Society will be meeting the first and third Thursday of each month at 7:30 p.m. The society is planning for Jesse James Days in Winston. Jesse James Days will take place on July 11, 12 and 13. Anyone wishing to make suggestions for the program should attend these meetings.

Pool to be open

Summer vacation approaches for area school students, and Gallatin’s swimming pool will be open to help make those hazy, lazy summer days a splash!

Dougherty named administrator

West ward seat still vacant, Tim Andrews not appointed

Toby Dougherty accepted the position of city administrator during the regular meeting of the Gallatin Board of Aldermen held April 21 at city hall. Mr. Dougherty will start on May 19.

Alderman Schweizer made a motion to separate the gas payment from the rest of the accounts payable. Motion died for lack of a second.
