Traffic Fines

There were 54 traffic cases heard in the Associate Division of the Circuit Court of Daviess County involving a plea of guilty without contest and payment of the standard fine plus court costs. The total fines assessed for defendants who reside outside of Missouri was $2,397.50 for 30 cases. The total fines assessed for defendants who reside in Missouri was $1,762.50 for 24 cases. Sheridan Township bridge nears completion; CART Program reviewed

County Commission

County Commission

James Lewis, bridge foreman, met with the commission reporting that the bridge project in Sheridan Township was near completion and should be finished this week.

David Tolen reported having chaired the Green Hills Regional Planning Commission meeting on Oct. 17 in Trenton.

Bills were audited and paid.

The commission discussed the extension council budget for next year.

Sheriff’s Dept.

Deborah K. Martin, 48, Cameron, was charged Oct. 27 with probation violations for passing bad checks, Class D felony. She is being held at Midwest Security Housing.

Mark Hamilton, 26, Bethany, was charged Oct. 18 with passing bad checks, Class D felony. He posted $5,000 bond.

A 27-year-old Altamont man was taken to Midwest Security Housing Oct. 27 for a 20-hour hold after a report of domestic violence was made
