Pattonsburg art students earn conservation awards

A group of Pattonsburg R-2 art students were given individual Conservation Creativity Awards from the St. Joseph Northwest Regional Office of the Missouri Conservation Department last week. The students put together a display for the St. Joseph headquarters that was up throughout the summer months.

2002 Fall Sire Evaluation Report

Lakeview Angus Farms, Gallatin, owns one bull listed in the 2002 Fall Sire Evaluation Report published by the American Angus Association headquartered in St. Joseph. Issued in both the spring and fall, the new report features the latest performance information on 6,362 sires. The semi-annual analysis for the sire evaluation report is conducted at Iowa State University.

Fall Home Show comes to the Civic Arena September 27 – 29

165 home industry vendors

The St. Joseph Fall Home Show is coming to the Civic Arena September 27–29, and will feature over 165 home industry vendors. The 2002 St. Joseph Fall Home Show will provide homeowners a one-stop opportunity to talk with home improvement specialists.

The hours of the show are: Fri., 5:00–9:00 p.m.; Sat., 10:00 a.m.–9:00 p.m.; and Sun., 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

There will be fingerprint I.D.

Lock Springs girl debuts at Kansas City Lyrical Opera

Emilee Minnick, 11, a sixth grader, Lock Springs will have her lyric debut in a 10 member children’s chorus of the Kansas City Lyric Opera season opener of Giacomo Puccini’s powerhouse, the romantic tragedy La boheme on September 25, 27 and 29, 2002. Emilee will appear in Act I as an urchin and will be singing with the children’s opera chorus
