A truck was reported stolen from a Jamesport residence on July 22. The truck, owned by Kathy Hankemeier of Iowa City, Iowa, was taken some time between midnight and 1 a.m.

A break-in at Hightree Service in Jameson was reported July 19. A window was broken, trash dumped, and miscellaneous signs and neon lights were taken, valued at approximately $1,000.

Charlene Juanita Wortman, 50, Gallatin, died Friday, July 19, 2002, at the Cameron Regional Medical Center.

Frankie M. Dake, 92, Kansas City, a native of Daviess County, died Wednesday, June 19, 2002, at an Overland Park, Kan., health-care center.
