Circuit Court

Civil cases filed: Franklin Archer vs. Dafodel A. Archer, dissolution of marriage; Barbara Louise Goll vs. Bruce Allen Goll, dissolution of marriage.

Criminal cases filed: State vs. Robert B. Wilson, stealing and receiving stolen property.

Marriage licenses issued: Jeffrey Alan Brown and Alisa Gay Hamilton, both of Estero, Fla.

County Commission

Daniel Lynn, bridge supervisor, met with the commission reporting on current repairs and construction progress in Sheridan Township.

David Tolen reported having attended a meeting in Washington Township on Saturday regarding problems on CART Road #378.

Eugene Kime, Jackson Township trustee, met with the commission concerning repairs needed on two bridges in that township.

Associate Circuit

There were 24 traffic cases heard in the Associate Division of the Circuit Court of Daviess County involving a plea of guilty without contest and payment of the standard fine plus court costs. The total fines assessed for defendants who reside outside of Missouri was $1,610 for 18 cases. The total fines assessed for defendants who reside in Missouri was $500 for 6 cases. All of these fines are paid

Sheriff’s Department

The pickup which was reported stolen in Jamesport on July 22 was recovered undamaged in Kansas City on July 29.

Debra Levin, 34, Jameson, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, Class D felony, on July 24. She is being held at Midwest Security Housing on $15,000 bond.

Ross E. Johnson, Jr., 41, Maryville, was charged with the Class D felony of passing bad checks on July 24.

Judy Vyrostek, 55, has been a resident of Daviess County for 47 years. She and her husband, Del Ray, have a son, David, and his wife, Brenda, and two grandsons, Michael and Gabriel of Stuart, Iowa; a daughter, Julie, and granddaughter, Jennifer, of Gallatin; and a daughter, Jennifer Vyrostek, deceased.

A truck was reported stolen from a Jamesport residence on July 22. The truck, owned by Kathy Hankemeier of Iowa City, Iowa, was taken some time between midnight and 1 a.m.

A break-in at Hightree Service in Jameson was reported July 19. A window was broken, trash dumped, and miscellaneous signs and neon lights were taken, valued at approximately $1,000.
