Frank and Janis Dunnington hosted a Gage cousin reunion on Sunday, June 23, at their farm home south of Gallatin. This was the first reunion in a long time and first for some cousins. The cousins came early and enjoyed a day of visiting and looking at family scrap books and old pictures, plus taking pictures and eating.

Wilkinson named to dean’s list

University of Missouri in Columbia

Jill Wilkinson of Gallatin has been named to the winter-spring 2002 dean’s list at the University of Missouri in Columbia. She is a junior in the College of Arts and Science. Her name was not reported with earlier dean’s list honorees due to a late grade.

Potential Threats from Invasive Species Loom Big in the Future

A coalition of environmental professionals took to their boats recently to evaluate the extent of infestation in regional waters by some of the Midwest’s most notorious invasive species.

The seventh annual Goby Round Up was held June 18-21, in a 100-mile stretch of the Illinois Waterway, from Blue Island to Spring Valley. This surveillance effort involved 13 boats and more than 40 staff members and volunteers

Emergency loan designation

disaster loans available

Mr. Tim Kelley, State Executive Director, Farm Service Agency announced effective June 10, 2002, 44 counties in Missouri will have FSA disaster loans available due to serve storms, tornadoes, and flooding that occurred from April 24, 2002, through June 10, 2002. The counties in our area that are eligible for disaster assistance are: Livingston, Caldwell, Carroll, Daviess, Grundy, and Linn.
