incidents for February:

The Gallatin Police Department reported the following incidents for February:

Feb. 1 — stealing reported at 612 E. Richardson. The actual occurrence was between Nov. 1-27, 2001.

Feb. 6 — stealing from city utilities reported at 605 N. Adams. The stealing occurred between May of 1998 and Jan. 28 of 2002. The case was turned over to prosecutors. The suspect has been identified and is making arrangements

Library holds story time for preschoolers

Story time for preschool children will be held every Friday in March

Story time for preschool children will be held every Friday in March, beginning at 10 a.m. on March 1 at the Daviess County Library. Story time is open to all preschool children and will include stories and activities. For more information call Jone Perry at the library, 660-663-3222.

Stephanie Gail Kliewer and Aaron Jon Mason

Stockham Community Church in Stockham, Neb., was the setting for the Aug. 11, 2001, wedding of Stephanie Gail Kliewer and Aaron Jon Mason. Rev. Paul Nauman officiated.

Parents of the couple are Marlin and Mickey Kliewer of Stockham and Randy and Cindy Mason of Pattonsburg.

The candles were lit by Whitney Mason, sister of the groom, and Rachel Holl, cousin of the bride.

Wally Greene and Vera Peugh

Wally Greene is now in Nodaway Nursing Home, P.O. Box 307, Room 213, Maryville, Mo., 64468.

Vera Peugh fell at her daughter’s house on Valentine’s Day and broke her hip. She is recovering form surgery at Heartland Regional Medical Center West, 801 Faraon, Room 101, St. Joseph, Mo. 64501-1892.

Four JH band members receive I rating at music festival

Junior High instrumental music solo and ensemble festival

On Feb. 16, four Gallatin R-5 junior high band students participated in the Northwest Missouri State University Junior High instrumental music solo and ensemble festival and received I (Superior) ratings. They were Trisha Sprague, trumpet solo; Kate Jarboe, trumpet solo; Karly Goll and Lacey Curtis, flute duet.
