Joint service for Erik Eriksen Jr. were held Saturday at McWilliams Family Funeral Home in Gallatin. Burial was at Grand River Cemetery in Jameson. Memorials may be made in Erik’s name and sent to McWilliams Family Funeral Home, 1329 W. Grand Ave., Gallatin, 64640.

Amish party broken up; horses shot in retaliation

Seventeen tickets were issued when the sheriff’s department responded to a call on Nov. 22 which reported that numerous Amish buggies and Amish youths were congregated at the Oak Grove Amish schoolhouse at 190 Highway and Major Avenue. After detaining everyone who did not flee into the trees and brush, 16 tickets for minor in possession and one ticket for resisting arrest were issued.

County Commission

Daniel Lynn, bridge foreman, and James Lewis, foreman, met with the commission reporting that construction projects were complete and they will begin tube replacement this week.

The commissioners reported that they had inspected brush and low water crossing problems in Jefferson Township last week.

Defendants who appeared and were found guilty in the Associate Division of the Circuit Court of Daviess County are listed below with the offense and fine assessed. Additionally, court costs collected for the State of Missouri amount to $57.50 for moving traffic violations, and $72.50 in most criminal cases.
