The City of Gallatin has lifted the precautionary boil order
The City of Gallatin has lifted the precautionary boil order in effect for a small portion of Gallatin. The boil order was issued on Aug. 24 in order to perform repairs to a water main along James Road. Effected residents included those who live along James Road and Mill Street east of Prospect Street.

Gallatin R-5 set the tax levy
Gallatin R-5 set the tax levy at $3.8021 following the Tax Rate Hearing on Aug. 16. The levy is the same as last year’s. Board of Education members received the final budget report from Superintendent James Ruse. The year ended with a $29,000 positive addition to the balance.
