Superintendent Ron DeShon reported to that the State Auditors Office had approved the new tax levy

During the regular meeting of the Pattonsburg R-2 Board of Education held Aug. 20, Superintendent Ron DeShon reported to that the State Auditors Office had approved the new tax levy for the district at $5.1748. Patrons would see a welcome 19-cent decrease in the tax levy.

Ruse-Presswood wedding held this summer

Jacque Leigh Ruse and Andrew Allen Presswood were united in marriage on June 9, 2001.

Jacque Leigh Ruse, daughter of James and Sheila Ruse of Gallatin, and Andrew Allen Presswood, son of James and Beverly Presswood of Silex, were united in marriage on June 9, 2001.

The wedding ceremony was held in the yard of the bride’s parents at their country home. The Reverend Jon Wells officiated the afternoon service.
