Upward Bound summer program at North Central Missouri College concluded.

Lora K. Smith to have her biography published in Who’s Who

For the third consecutive year Lora K. Smith of Gallatin has been eligible to receive honorary award recognition and to have her biography published in Who’s Who Among American High School Students, 2000-2001. Only half of one percent of all high school students are honored in consecutive years.

Kathy Robertson accepts national leadership role

Kathy Robertson to join nationally sponsored Adviser-to-Adviser program

Mrs. Kathy Robertson was selected by the Missouri Association of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) to join the nationally sponsored Adviser-to-Adviser program. As an Adviser-to-Adviser leader, Kathy participated in a special training session at the organization’s 2001 National Leadership Meeting held July 8-12 in Anaheim, Calif.

R-3 to provide distance learning throughout state

R-3 to be in a pilot project to provide distance

learning

During the regular meeting of the North Daviess R-3 Board of Education, Superintendent Julie Kirby announced that the district has won approval to be in a pilot project to provide distance

learning opportunities through the entire state. The program is called GreatNet. The school is hoping to arrange to deliver third year Spanish through the arrangement.
