Marie Walker

Marie (Webb) Snelling Scott Walker, 87, Chillicothe, formerly of Trenton, died Monday, June 25, 2001, at a health-care center in Chillicothe.

Service for Marie Walker, a former resident of Jamesport, will be held at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Slater Funeral Home in Trenton. Burial will be at Independent Order of Odd Fellows Cemetery, Edinburg. There is no scheduled family visitation.

Marie (Webb) Snelling Scott Walker, 87, Chillicothe, formerly of Trenton, died Monday, June 25, 2001, at a health-care center in Chillicothe.

Born in Milan, Mrs. Walker lived in Milan, Trenton and Jamesport. She attended the Sullivan County and Milan schools.

In 1932, she married Earl Snelling. He died in 1946. In 1957, she married Gordon Scott. He died. Then on May 15, 1976, she married Donald Walker in Chillicothe. He died in June of 2001.

Mrs. Walker also was preceded in death by a son, Alfred G. Snelling; three brothers, Alan, Buford and Luther Webb; and two sisters, May Kelso and Frances Hostetler.

Other survivors include two daughters, Ilene Wood, Chillicothe, and Faye Parrett, Eureka Springs, Ark.; a brother, Ralph Webb, Anaheim, Calif.; a sister, Irene Lintz, Huntington, Ind.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
