Chapter BQ P.E.O. Sisterhood met May 21

2001, at the home of Katherine Snyder with Helen Muller as co-hostess. Thirteen members were present. Following the business meeting Mary Virginia Croy told about one of our projects, “P.E.O. Scholar Awards” and read the 100 year history of the Hamilton P.E.O. Chapter N. The next meeting will be at Jane Ann Paul’s on June 4, followed by a visit to the Powell

Mary Howell and Brad Marshall would like to announce the birth of a daughter, Kathryn Neysa Marshall, born at 12:29 p.m. on Monday, May 28, 2001, at North Kansas City Hospital. Kathryn weighed seven pounds, 4 ounces, and was 19 3/4 inches long.

Two accidents reported

Jamesport, Winston women moderately injured.

A Jamesport woman was moderately injured in a one vehicle accident two miles west of Jamesport at about 4:50 a.m. on May 26, according to a report by the Missouri Highway Patrol.

Former resident captures ‘People’s Choice’ award

Shirley Fetters, formerly of Gallatin, captured the “People’s Choice”

Shirley Fetters of Lawson, formerly of Gallatin, captured the “People’s Choice” award and a $100 cash prize during the annual Fine Arts Show sponsored by the Ray County Community Arts Association. The show was held during the Richmond Mushroom Festival earlier this month.
