Razorbacks fall to Titans in season opener

The Mid-West Razorbacks fell to the Putnam County Titans, 16-12

The Mid-West Razorbacks fell to the Putnam County Titans, 16-12, in the First Annual Kent Murphy Memorial Bowl, held Saturday at Putnam County High School. This was an exhibition game and regular RFA games will begin in mid-June.

District 26F Lions Clubs will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Lions All-Star Basketball Classic next weekend in Maryville when 50 area high school graduates suit up for the annual all-star event. This year’s roster includes 7 recent Daviess County graduates for the Saturday night contests held on the campus of Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville.

Lenora and Tom McWilliams, Gallatin, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on June 11, 2001. The couple was married June 11, 1951, in Liberty. They have three children, David, Don and Jean, all of Kansas City. A family celebration in Kansas City is planned.

North Central Missouri College in Trenton has named students with outstanding academic achievement for the 2001 spring semester to the Academic Honors List.

Students named to the President’s List must have obtained a perfect 4.0 grade point average. To be named to the Dean’s List students must achieve a GPA of at least 3.5.
