Winston R-6 recently announced its second quarter Honor Roll for the elementary. Students on the Principal’s Honor Roll with a straight 4.0 grade point average are: 1st — Emily McFee; 2nd — Kaitlyn Clark, Monica Hanson, Travis Holcomb, Cally Mastin, Mikael Schuuk, Cody Youtsey; 3rd — Ashley Owens, Blaise Simecek, Keshia Youtsey; 4th — Courtney Lang, Chelcee Peterson.

Winston Homecoming Royalty selected

Nathan Uthe was crowned King and Ashley Lang was crowned Queen during Winston R-6 Homecoming.

Nathan Uthe, son of Wayne and Barbara Uthe of Winston, was crowned King and Ashley Lang, daughter of Mike and Cindy Lang of Winston, was crowned Queen during Winston R-6 Homecoming 2001 held on Jan. 19. Nathan and Ashley, both seniors, were the school’s basketball candidates. Other royalty were Chali Caudle and Luke Caldwell, STUCO;
