NCMC ag students excel at state conference

NCMC students who competed in Career Progress events and are advancing to nationals include Trent Dowell, Gallatin.

North Central Missouri College brought home 13 first- and second-place awards from the State Postsecondary Agriculture Student (PAS) Organization Conference at the Lake of the Ozarks in November. NCMC will be attending national conference in Bismark, N.D., on March 13-16.

Gallatin Police Report

Gallatin Police respond to accident, domestic disturbances.

The Gallatin Police Department responded to a two-vehicle accident which occurred at 10 p.m. on Nov. 17. The accident involved a minor injury, but no one was transported to the hospital.

The driver and passenger of one vehicle was struck from behind by another vehicle. There were no passengers in the striking vehicle. No immediate citations were issued; however, a citation was written

The University of Missouri-Rolla will award up to 20 Minority Engineering Program scholarships.

The University of Missouri-Rolla will award up to 20 Minority Engineering Program (MEP)scholarship packages for the 2001-2002 academic year. The priority application deadline is Jan. 31, 2001.
