Leta L. Wedlock, 72, Chillicothe, died Friday, May 26, 2000, at a Richmond, Va., hospital.

Graveside services and burial for Leta Wedlock, a native of Gallatin, were held at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday, May 31, 2000) at Resthaven Memorial Garden, Chillicothe. John Paul Beckwith, 69, St. Joseph, formerly of Weatherby, died May 30, 2000, at a Kansas City hospital following a lengthy illness.

Following are approved minutes of May 22. All members were present.

Daniel Lynn, bridge supervisor, and James Lewis, foreman, met with the commission to report on construction projects. Bridge 034004 in Washington Township has been completed and construction has begun on bridge 0400002 in Washington Township. Danny Heldenbrand reminded them to wear their safety equipment.

Arrests made, thefts and property damage reported

Alva R. Cogdill, 43, of Jameson was arrested May 30 and charged with the class C felony of possession of a controlled substance. He posted $25,000 bond.

Sandy Webb, Gilman City, reported a cordless phone and a pair of eyeglasses were missing from her residence and that a patio door glass was broken out between May 22-27.

Pattonsburg residents receive injuries

Two vehicle accidents in Daviess County during the Memorial Day weekend.

Two vehicle accidents in Daviess County during the Memorial Day weekend resulted in moderate injuries to a Pattonsburg man and minor injuries to three Pattonsburg teens.

Carl L. Allen, 57, of Pattonsburg was taken by Daviess County Ambulance to Cameron Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries following a one-vehicle accident on May 28.

Two riders injured in ATV accidents

The accident occurred at about noon on Rt. AA, 4 miles south of McFall.

Two ATV accidents which occurred recently in Daviess County resulted in serious injuries to one driver and moderate injuries to a passenger.
